Personal Information: Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC collects and maintains a list of email addresses, Twitter account names, and similar information. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC collects this information on a voluntary basis in order to provide its users with automatic updates of its content, and this information is not sold to or shared with other parties other than third-party services, such as Google Feedburner, which it uses to manage its subscription services. To unsubscribe, subscribers can click on the link in the email updates or adjust their subscription services at third-party websites, such as Twitter or Facebook. When posting comments on Big Island on the Cheap or Honolulu On The Cheap, the sites prompt users to enter a user name, email address, and optional website; the email address is not made public on the website and is used for verification purposes only. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC reserves the right to disclose any and all personal information it collects both as required by law and when that disclosure is necessary to protect or defend its rights, property or users and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC.

Public Website: Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is a public website. Any information users post in its comments section or any other part of the website can and will be publically available, unless otherwise specified in these Terms. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is not responsible for any information, personal or otherwise, users choose to submit on its website and/or any third-party contacts that result thereof.

Children: Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC does not intentionally gather personal information about users who are under the age of 13.

Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC contains links to other “On the Cheap” Official Member Sites as well as other websites, which are neither owned nor controlled by Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC. All local “On the Cheap” sites, including Big Island on the Cheap and Honolulu On The Cheap, are independently owned and operated, and individual site owners pay a reasonable fee to link to Cities on the Cheap and use any logos, banners and/or other information owned by Cities on the Cheap. When users click on a link to an Official Member Site, Cities on the Cheap, or any other link that takes them to another website, they have left Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC’s websites. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is not responsible for the privacy polities of other sites.

Official Member Sites: Only “On the Cheap” sites linked to on the Cities on the Cheap “Find Your City” page are part of Cities on the Cheap’s network of “Official Member Sites.” All Cities on the Cheap Official Member Sites choose and control their own content, advertising, and subscription management services. Owners of Official Member Sites may not plagiarize their content, accept payment for writing about a product or service, or use images without permission. Owners of Official Member Sites may accept media compensated tickets and similar items, provided that they do not promise editorial coverage in exchange. Official Member Sites that violate these terms will be removed from the Cities on the Cheap “Find Your City” page and lose the right to use any Cities on the Cheap-owned content and/or images on their websites.

Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC Content: Hawai‘i on the Cheap LLC’s owners can and will post about freebies, deals and discounts on Big Island on the Cheap and Honolulu On The Cheap. Hawai‘i on the Cheap LLC’s owners post the details of the deals as they find them. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is not responsible for the accuracy of the details of each freebie, deal or discount or fulfillment. Users of Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC maintain sole responsibility for checking with vendors to verify the validity of each deal. All content on Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is subject to the same standards as content created by Cities on the Cheap Official Member Sites. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC can and will, with permission and attribution, repost some or all of content that appears on Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC onto Cities on the Cheap. All posts’ authors retain copyright to his/her respective posts on Cities on the Cheap and Hawai‘i on the Cheap.
Affiliates. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is owned by Kris Bordessa and Leslie Lang. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC does not currently have any subsidiaries, joint ventures, parent company, or similar affiliates. Should another company acquire Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC and/or its assets, it will own any information collected as outlined in these terms, and it will assume all rights and obligations regarding the protection and use of that information. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC will inform subscribers of any change of ownership through its subscription services.

Security: Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC relies on industry-standard security technologies and procedures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and/or destruction. Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with the personal information it collects, and a breech may occur.

Jurisdiction: Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC is based in Pepe‘ekeo, HI. As such, any information collected by Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC and/or voluntarily provided by Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC users will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States. Terms Updates: The Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC Terms may be changed at any time and without notice. Should Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC undergo a change of ownership or make a substantial change regarding its use of personal information, Hawai‘i on the Cheap, LLC will notify individual subscribers any subscription management services in place.
