Learn to Kalua your Turkey – November 25
If you love kalua pig, you’re sure to think kalua turkey is the best way to celebrate Thanksgiving. No matter that you’ve never cooked in an imu before! From 8:30 to 3 pm on November 25, 2009 you can learn how to make your own imu and to cook your own turkey (or pig) at Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden in south Kona.
Cost for the workshop is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. Bring your turkey and fixings to the garden ready to be cooked in an aluminum pan (maximum pan size is 12” x 20”); the garden staff will provide ti leaves for wrapping your turkey.
