full moon by RKHawaiiTwilight at Kalahuipua’a is a Hawaiian cultural celebration that includes storytelling, singing, and dancing on the grassy lawn at Mauna Lani Bay Resort’s oceanfront Eva Parker Woods Cottage.

“Twilight at  Kalahuipua‘a” was designed to perpetuate the traditional folk art of storytelling. Everyone in attendance – not only the professional entertainment – is invited to share stories, family histories, songs, and dance.  It gives hotel guests a chance to experience the true aloha spirit, and residents the opportunity to meet and share stories with people from around the world. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and bento or a picnic dinner.

This monthly event happens on the Saturday closest to the full moon and starts around 5:30, however dates are  subject to change. Please call the Mauna Lani Concierge at 808-881-7911 to confirm the dates.

This month, the event happens November 7, 2009.
