Just a friendly reminder: This weekend is your last chance to explore Volcanoes National Park for free this summer. We wrote all about it here.

On August 15, Big Island Astronomy will be at the park with telescopes for the public to use, and will be available to answer questions. “Meteor Mama” will be there to show a real 3.5 lb meteor that crashed in Nantan, China in 1514.  Children will be able to hold the meteor, have parents take picture and receive a free card that they held this special space object.
