Win a Macario Photographic Print!
Today we are giving away a beautiful 11 x 17 photographic print by Macario.
Uahi Wai A Pele. The Steam of Pele. It’s a striking, recent photo of lava from Kilauea Volcano going into the ocean.
Macario is a long-time Hawai‘i photographer and you can see his work here.
From his bio:
Macario’s photographs have been featured nationwide in numerous magazines, websites, annual reports and books, as well as in museums, exhibitions and private collections. He also occasionally lectures on photography.
He has also recently started up an online magazine, where he posts photo essays. Up right now is one on the Big Island ceramicist Gordon Lee. Lee’s work is stunning. Have a look.
And then enter your name and email in comments below this post to be entered to win Uahi Wai a Pele. Get a second shot at winning by writing a post on your blog about Big Island On The Cheap (include our URL) and then sending us the info. And there are a couple ways to earn bonus entries, too. Full rules here.
Entries must be received by midnight, Hawai‘i time on March 19, 2009.
