Win A Handcrafted Lantern from High Fire Hawaii!
Today’s contest celebrating our official launch is a beautiful piece of ceramics from High Fire Hawaii in downtown Hilo.
Enter to win this gorgeous lantern by leaving your name and email address in comments below this post.
The top lifts off, and inside is a small votive candle. It can be used as a lantern, or alternately for incense or potpourri. It’s a beautiful piece of ceramics, created by Shannon Hickey, co-owner with Steven Lang of High Fire Hawaii.
Have you visited High Fire Hawaii? It’s a small and elegant art gallery at 114 Haili St. (between Keawe St. and Kino‘ole Ave.) in downtown Hilo. The locally owned gallery supports our local artists — all of its affordable art, jewelry, gifts and greeting cards are designed and crafted here on the Big Island by Island artists. They feature ceramics by Clayton Amemiya, Gordon Lee and Shannon Hickey; paintings and prints by Nani Maloof and Cate Courtot; and more.
It’s definitely worth a visit. In the meantime, enter to win a piece of their ceramics right here!
There are two ways to enter to win this High Fire ceramic lantern (shipped to your USA home). One, simply add a comment to this post. Or two, post about Big Island On The Cheap on your own blog, and send us a pingback (or comment here with a link to tell us). You’ll get one entry for each action. You can also earn ONE bonus point by subscribing to Big Island On The Cheap via rss or email. Complete contest details – and a chance to earn bonus entries – available here.
Entries must be received by midnight, Hawai‘i time on March 14, 2009.
